The University of Luxembourg has been ranked among the top 200 universities in the 2018 Times Higher Education (THE) world university rankings, announced in London on 5 September.

Ranked 179th (tied with the University of Twente), the University of Luxembourg was founded in 2003. Although relatively young, it has an international reach, priding itself on its multilingual learning environment.

Situated on the new Belval campus and in Luxembourg City, approximately 57% of its students are international.

Topping the rankings this year were the University of Oxford, holding onto the coveted top spot for the second year in a row, followed by the University of Cambridge, which rose from 4th to 2nd place in this year’s rankings.
