H.E. Mr. Dan Kersch, Minister of Sports, paid a working visit to the People’s Republic of China from June 18 to 22, 2019.
Minister Kersch had a meeting with the Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Mr. CHEN Qun, to discuss cooperation between Shanghai and Luxembourg in the field of Sports. He also visited Shanghai University of Sports and China Table Tennis College which have a partnership with Luxembourg and established the China Table Tennis College Europe (CTTC-E) in the Grand-Duchy. The Minister held the opening address at the annual general meeting of CTTC-E. The delegation also participated in a Trophy donation ceremony by the President of the Luxembourg Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Andre Hartmann to the Table Tennis Museum followed by a visit of the museum.
On June 21, the Minister and the delegation attended the Luxembourg national day reception where Minister Kersch gave a speech about the contribution of Sports to the friendship between the people of Luxembourg and the people of China.
